Tipos de Papel y algunas recomendaciones.

Existen multitud de tipos de papel, según su textura, acabados y demás, que pueden funcionar como una herramienta más en nuestras campañas de marketing y de comunicación. En el post de hoy, os vamos a hablar de la clasificación más general de tipos de papel y os daremos algunas recomendaciones para elegir con acierto el tipo de papel que se utiliza para cada trabajo en concreto.

El papel offset y el papel estucado.

El papel offset y el papel estucado es la diferencia más común entre los tipos de papel.

El papel offset es el papel común, es el que nos encontramos en fotocopiadoras y para uso habitual de oficina, estudios, etc. Se trata de un papel con una gran porosidad y, por tanto, mayor capacidad de absorción de tinta. El gramaje del papel tipo offset va desde los 80 gramos, como es el caso de un folio normal, hasta los 240 gramos. Un ejemplo de papel offset de gramaje de 240 gramos es la típica cartulina que se utiliza para hacer manualidades.

El papel estucado se conoce también como papel couché o glossy. Es  mucho menos poroso que el offset. Por ello, absorbe menos tintas y los detalles de la imagen o del diseño se aprecian con mayor nitidez. Los gramajes del papel estucado oscilan entre los 90 gramos, como por ejemplo los folletos publicitarios utilizados en el buzoneo, y los 350 gramos. Este último gramaje se utiliza sobretodo en las tarjetas de visita.

Algunas recomendaciones sobre los usos de cada tipo de papel de diferentes gramajes.

Para cartas comerciales o circulares informativas: Papel offset de un gramaje entre 80-90 gramos.

Folletos publicitarios de grandes tiradas. Un ejemplo claro son los folletos para buzoneo, como es el caso de la publicidad de restaurantes de comida para llevar que encontramos en el buzón. Papel estucado de 90 gramos

En cambio, para folletos publicitarios de tiradas medias que posteriormente vayan a soportar una mayor manipulación, por como se van a entregar, etc. Nuestra recomendación también es de un papel estucado, pero de un gramaje superior, 150-170 gramos.

Tarjetones, portadas de revistas o catálogos: Papel estucado de 250-300 gramos.

Invitaciones a eventos, tarjetas de visita: Papel estucado de gramaje elevado, como pueden ser los 350-400 gramos.

El tipo de papel también influye en los equipos que se van a utilizar para el acabado de los trabajos. Es el caso de las plegadoras de papel. El papel offset puede ser trabajado tanto en plegadoras de papel de succión como de fricción, aunque son más recomendables las últimas. En cambio, el papel estucado solo se puede plegar con plegadoras de succión.
